ER Specialist – Permanent

Fully Remote (UK-wide)

We are supporting one of our favourite third sector customers, a national charity undergoing positive change within its People function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a warm, people centred organisation and step into a role with real influence, acting as a key support and deputy to the ER Manager while helping shape a newly restructured advisory service.

What you will be doing

In this role you will take ownership of complex, sensitive and high volume ER cases across conduct, grievance, sickness and capability. You will be the escalation point for contentious matters and support managers up to senior leadership level.

You will also play a key role in the day to day running of the ER team by:

  • Overseeing case progression, prioritisation and allocation
  • Coaching and mentoring People Advisors to build capability
  • Supporting managers with people practice, policy interpretation and decision making
  • Ensuring cases are managed consistently and in line with legislation and organisational policies
  • Contributing to improvements in ER processes, resources and guidance
  • Deputising for the ER Manager when required

This is a visible role that partners closely with Heads of Service Delivery and senior stakeholders.
