Job Advert: Equipment Store & Delivery Coordinator

Location: Inverness

Rate: £13.32 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and reliable Equipment Store & Delivery Coordinator to support the delivery, collection, installation, and storage of Community Equipment. You will help ensure equipment is prepared, transported, decontaminated, and recorded correctly, enabling individuals to maintain independence at home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work effectively as part of the Inverness store team, communicating with colleagues, clients, and carers.
  • Pick, prepare, and load equipment for delivery and arrange suitable delivery/uplift times.
  • Deliver, collect, and install equipment safely following manufacturer instructions.
  • Carry out basic risk assessments in home environments to ensure suitability of equipment.
  • Report any issues or changes to job sheets to the Store Manager.
  • Transfer equipment between the Inverness store and buffer/emergency stores.
  • Segregate and return used equipment for decontamination.
  • Decontaminate equipment in line with Infection Control Protocols, including safe use of thermal decontamination machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and properly stocked warehouse environment.
  • Respond to urgent delivery or breakdown requests when required.
  • Use barcode scanners to update asset information within the ELMS 2 system.
  • Assist with stock checks and inventory control.
  • Comply with relevant legislation and internal policies, including Health & Safety, Moving & Handling, and Lone Working.
  • Ensure service vehicles are clean, fuelled, and roadworthy, reporting faults promptly.
  • Carry out minor routine maintenance on equipment following training.
  • Use basic IT systems such as Word, email, and Excel.
  • Perform any other duties required to support the service.
