Enclosure Assembly Technician Mechanical Build & Fitting
A respected machinery manufacturer based in Essex is seeking an enclosure assembly technician to join their growing production team. Operating from a modern headquarters and engineering facility, the company specialises in the design and assembly of automated filling and packaging lines, serving the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries globally.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role ideal for someone with solid mechanical assembly and machining experience, good attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality and teamwork.
Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and machine base materials for enclosure assemblies
  • Fit locks, frames, and panels to machinery lines and equipment
  • Carry out mechanical fitting and fault finding during assembly
  • Disassemble completed machinery and prepare equipment for transport to site
  • Support small-scale pneumatic assemblies where required
  • Assist with machinery installation, commissioning, and service at customer sites
  • Follow detailed assembly drawings to ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Handle materials with care, particularly during repetitive or high-precision tasks
Essential requirements
  • Practical engineering or mechanical assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings accurately
