Overview

We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product categories within the industry. We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Manager to work within the technical division of the business, with a dedicated Sustainability focus.

The opportunity of Environmental Sustainability Manager will report to the Head of Technical and become a key member of the team. The Environmental Sustainability Manager role will assist in managing 4 key areas; Food Waste, Energy & Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions, Sustainable Agriculture, and Sustainability Insights, Data & Reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery and implementation of the Group Sustainability Strategy and Environmental Policy.
  • Track and report KPIs (e.g. GHG emissions, food waste, packaging) using Excel, Power BI, and internal systems.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor packaging sustainability changes and identify opportunities for impact.
  • Lead food waste reporting (WRAP, Champions 12.3), manage redistribution partnerships, and find solutions to reduce waste.
  • Coordinate Scope 1–3 emissions reporting and contribute to the Net Zero and SBTi strategies.
  • Work closely with customers and suppliers to define Net Zero and water security transition plans.
  • Stay up to date on ESG trends and legislation; share insights across the business.
Qualifications
  • A Graduate with a relevant Environmental Science / Geography / Agronomy Degree, with exposure to climate change, food waste, sustainable agriculture / manufacturing.
  • A demonstrable track record working in an Environmental Sustainability role within the Fresh Produce / Food / Agricultural sectors.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Standard.
  • Good computer knowledge especially MS Office package, Power BI and Excel.
  • Effective time management with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Details

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm, with some flexibility required.

Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits.

Location: South East / Kent.
