A leading environmental agency is seeking a proactive Environmental Project Manager to oversee a variety of projects aimed at protecting the environment against mining impacts. The successful candidate will define project scopes, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate with stakeholders and specialists. Strong project management skills are essential, along with experience in environmental assessments. This position offers flexible working, a comprehensive benefits package, and a chance to contribute to sustainable environmental practices.
Are you looking for the opportunity to shape the environmental strategy of a large programme of works? Are you looking to join a team who all share the same objective to protect the environment?
You will help shape and implement an effective approach to environmental survey design, data collection, baselining and analysis. This will support the development of conceptual site models and environmental risk assessments. You will contribute to the development of a regulatory framework for a complex environmental protection programme designed to prevent mine water pollution of surface water and groundwater.
You will also collaborate with the established team to ensure each project aligns with departmental objectives and our shared commitment to protecting the environment. The project portfolio varies widely – from operational schemes and survey programmes to innovative research into alternative uses for mine water.
You will work within agreed budgets and timelines, using recognised project management tools and methods to track progress and report clearly. You will also engage with specialist consultants and contractors to ensure high-quality outcomes across all work.
We don't expect candidates to meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we'd love to learn more about you!
Do you want to work on meaningful projects that help protect the environment and make positive impacts to legacy mining communities?
