Environment & Sustainability Risk & Compliance Leader - IFP

This role will be part of Kimberly Clark's International Family Care and Professional (IFP) business-an organization rooted in purpose and innovation that has built a legacy with global impact. As Kimberly-Clark forms a strategic partnership with Suzano to create a world-class international tissue and professional products company, this role is proposed to transfer to the new venture once the transaction closes, anticipated in mid-2026, subject to consultation and other applicable legal requirements.

The Environment & Sustainability Risk and Compliance Leader will be responsible for environmental and sustainability compliance and risk management for the International Family Care & Professional (IFP). This role involves assessing compliance requirements and risks from both financial and impact perspectives, while developing capabilities, processes, and controls within IFP.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sustainability, Supply Chain, Legal, R&D, Marketing and Finance teams, works to ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability-related policies, laws, regulations, and relevant standards.
  • Develops and deploys the environmental and sustainability risk assessment processes, building capabilities and prioritizing work based on severity and likelihood.
  • Devise and deploy management controls validation processes and activities against compliance needs and risks; reports on gaps and drives corrective/preventative actions.
  • Leads and executes the environmental and sustainability auditing process in the region in collaboration with Health & Safety; develops and issues audit reports.
  • Recommend, support and monitor closure of environmental and sustainability compliance/conformance gaps and provides status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Leverage IMF, capital planning/governance, claims review/validation and other business processes to verify compliance early in the innovation cycle and as part of project execution.
  • Review, validate and approve all product-related sustainability claims within the region and drives consistency and process improvements accordingly.
  • Coordinate regional efforts in environmental and sustainability risk and compliance execution to ensure pragmatic alignment.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, environmental economics or related field specific to roles in environmental and sustainability compliance or risk management in complex manufacturing operations.
  • At least 10 years of experience working in related roles requiring environmental and sustainability regulatory, risk management, audits and controls.
  • Working knowledge of applicable, pending, and evolving environmental and sustainability requirements in relevant jurisdictions (international, national, local).
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in conducting environmental and sustainability risk assessment and management, including financial related effects, in areas of climate, energy, nature and products.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated work experience developing controls to ensure compliance and conducting and managing environmental and sustainability audits.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal or internal requirements to all levels, providing guidance to leaders in Supply Chain and collaborating on these topics with other relevant business functions.

This role will require the ability to travel to support business needs and audits (up to 40%).
