Qualifications

Role Overview

The Technical Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the technical and health & safety delivery during our rehearsals ashore alongside working with external creatives on all technical aspects of show delivery including automation, set, lighting, AV and sound to ensure we deliver not only great entertainment experiences but are deliverable time after time onboard our ships.

Key tasks will be coordinating the day-to-day technical delivery of our rehearsal and storage spaces, along with cast change scheduling, budgeting and organisation of repairs & maintenance.

Build and maintain internal and external relationships with a variety of stakeholders and contractors. Assisting and deputising for the Technical Production Manager to ensure all new production show creation projects are designed and delivered to our high standards.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist the Technical Production Manager in the day-to-day operation of a busy department. Coordinate the technical aspects of maintaining existing productions in both the safety of our performers & crew alongside the enjoyment of our guests.
  • Plan and schedule on‑board rollouts for both P&O Cruises and Cunard Fleets. Be an integral link between all relevant departments for maintenance and cast change scheduling.
  • Assist the Technical Production Manager in the successful planning, pre‑production and on‑board delivery of new production product within P&O Cruises and Cunard.
  • Ensure all show content, documentation and delivery is captured and hand over to operational teams so that clarity on standards of delivery is met.
  • Day-to-day technical & logistical operation of the Academy studios, pre‑vis suite, and Entertainment warehouse.
  • Travel on board our ships to facilitate technical changes to our shows during cast changes etc.

This role is positioned at CUK09 level within our organisation and is available on a full‑time, 12‑month FTC basis.

What You'll Bring
  • Understanding and experience of the provision of a broad and constantly evolving Entertainment product to the holiday Industry.
  • Operational experience in a multi venue entertainment facility in at least two of technical entertainment disciplines (stage, lighting, AV, automation or sound).
  • Expert communication having previously managed relationships with senior stakeholders & 3rd party contractors.
  • Strong multitasking and scheduling background.
  • Knowledge of production timelines.
About You
  • Cruise and / or holiday industry experience.
  • Production Management experience within the Entertainment industry.
  • Experience of coordinating projects, in particular show creation.
  • Experience of product development.
