English Teacher and Reading & Literacy Leader

Oasis Academy Hadley, Enfield, London

Salary: £44,050 per year plus TLR2a (£3,527) and Teachers' Pension Scheme. Permanent, full time. Start date: January 2026.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Delivering high‑quality teaching to years 7 – 11 and 6th form (depending on experience).
  • Establishing a stimulating environment for all students, setting challenging targets that build on prior attainment.
  • Developing the literacy and reading curriculum across the secondary phase and promoting a love of reading among our students.
  • Working with colleagues to develop the English offering in line with the vision and ethos of the Academy.
You'll bring:
  • A passion for delivering engaging teaching and learning experiences, fostering a deep love of English in our students.
  • A willingness to get involved in all activities in the department, including clubs and trips.
  • An ability to liaise with parents and guardians to support students where required.
