Salary: NQT / MPS + SEN allowance

Days: 5 days per week

Job Overview

Sunnydown School is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated secondary teacher to deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a core focus on teaching English Language and English Literature to GCSE.

We are an oversubscribed and very successful Secondary Special School who caters specifically for young men with Autism with high communication and interaction needs within a team of outstanding teachers and teaching assistants who deliver transformational learning experiences in a variety of National Curriculum subjects.

You must have a proven background in delivering the English curriculum in a creative and engaging way that captures the interest of all learners with a keen interest in SEN although direct experience in this field is not necessary. There may also be an opportunity to teach other subjects at KS3 should you have additional experience.
