The Role
  • Work with the English department to close gaps and build confidence.
  • Lead short intervention groups, provide 1:1 tutoring, and support reading, writing and analysis.
  • Help with revision resources, reinforce exam skills, and keep brief notes on progress to inform next steps.
The Candidate

You hold a degree (English or related preferred), communicate clearly, and explain ideas in simple steps. You're organised, reliable, and motivated to develop towards teacher training.

Requirements
  • Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children - Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
