Are you an English graduate eager to inspire young people and explore a career in education? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English Graduate to support a vibrant secondary school English department.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on classroom experience, work closely with experienced teachers, and develop the skills needed for future teacher training. You will assist with lessons, provide targeted support to students, and may be required to step into a Cover Supervisor role when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers within the English department across KS3 and KS4
  • Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students in reading, writing, and analysis
  • Assist in preparing resources and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Help encourage engagement and progress in English lessons
  • Take on occasional cover responsibilities, delivering pre‑set work to classes

About You
  • A degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related subject
  • Passion for education and supporting young people
  • Confident communicator with strong literacy skills
  • Positive, proactive, and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
  • Ability to manage a classroom when required (training provided)
