Engineering Technician - Sterile Products Facility

Salary: £37,272 + £9,324 shift allowance + £1,404 gowning allowance. Shift Pattern: 4-on-4-off rota (DAYS ONLY).

About the Role

Are you a mechanically biased Engineering Technician with experience in aseptic filling areas and a passion for making a real difference? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, providing engineering support within Grade A, B, and C sterile environments.

You’ll work on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern, supporting the production of life‑changing products for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate in compliance with cGMP and UK regulations.
  • Perform size and component changeovers on washing, filling, and sealing machines for vial and ampoule production.
  • Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on sterile production equipment.
  • Proactively manage lines to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes, equipment, safety, and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (multi‑skilled preferred).
  • Strong fault‑finding, rectification, and communication skills.
  • In‑depth understanding of pharmaceutical engineering and regulatory standards.
  • Experience working in Grade A, B, and C pharmaceutical environments.
  • Practical knowledge of reliability engineering and continuous improvement principles.
