Our client is a leading manufacturing company, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a charismatic, driven engineer with hands to build on success and improvements.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Operate, program, and optimise CNC machines and robotic systems to support production and quality targets.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, minimising machine downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Support new product introduction and continuous improvement of machining processes.
  • Conduct safety checks and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, general maintenance, and in-house part manufacturing.
  • Lead by example, supporting and training team members while promoting a clean, efficient, and collaborative work environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, fitting, or assembly, with basic electrical knowledge preferred.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, workshop equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Familiar with CNC/robot programming (e.g. XYZ) and able to interpret technical instructions accurately.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and maintenance documentation.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication, computer literacy, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
