Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Previous leadership experience or senior engineer role.
• Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Multi-Skilled Engineers.
• Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Take ownership of complex breakdowns and fault finding.
• Reduce downtime and improve plant reliability and performance.
• Ensure effective handovers between shifts.
• Lead short interval control meetings with production.

Are you a Lead Engineer, Engineering Team Leader or an experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer ready to step up?

Were recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to support a small, experienced team of 3 Multi‑Skilled Engineers within a large, highly automated FMCG manufacturing site. This is a hands‑on leadership role where youll still be on the tools while leading, coaching and driving performance across the shift.

The role

• Lead and support a team of 3 shift‑based Multi‑Skilled Engineers
• Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
• Take ownership of complex breakdowns and fault finding
• Reduce downtime and improve plant reliability and performance
• Ensure effective handovers between shifts
• Lead short interval control meetings with production
• Coach operators and engineers on autonomous maintenance
• Use SAP PM to manage maintenance activity and reporting
