Job description
Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to support a major large-scale earthworks package in Witham. This is a key role on a high-value infrastructure project with a strong pipeline of work, offering consistent work for a 6-month duration.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out topographical and volumetric surveys across the site
  • Setting out for earthworks, drainage, and other civil elements
  • Managing survey control and ensuring accuracy in data collection
  • Interpreting technical drawings and liaising with site teams
  • Working closely with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors
  • Preparing as-built drawings and ensuring all survey data is properly recorded and processed
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar Surveyor role within heavy civil engineering or earthworks
  • Proficient with GPS, Total Station, and relevant surveying equipment/software (e.g. Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD, LSS)
  • CSCS card (essential)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
