Qualifications

• Excellent electrical fault-finding skills are essential.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers on shift.
• Support the Engineering Manager with goals and performance.
• Plan and deliver preventive maintenance effectively.
• Tackle electrical and mechanical faults confidently.
• Provide hands-on technical support for escalated issues.
• Complete essential engineering admin and records.
• Support apprentices and share practical knowledge.
• Step in for the Engineering Manager when required.

Shift Pattern: 2-Week Rotation

This is a dynamic, on-the-floor role that puts you right at the heart of production-perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, supporting others, and keeping essential equipment performing at its best.

With an electrical bias and strong fault-finding ability, you'll be the go-to person when challenges arise and the driving force behind a motivated shift team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading, mentoring, and developing engineers on shift

• Supporting the Engineering Manager with day-to-day goals and performance

• Planning and delivering effective preventive maintenance

• Tackling electrical and mechanical faults with confidence

• Providing hands-on technical support when issues elevate

• Completing essential engineering admin and records

• Supporting apprentices and sharing practical knowledge

• Stepping in for the Engineering Manager when required

• Covering holidays and taking part in the call-out rota

What You’ll Bring

Shift Pattern

Two-week rotation:

• Week 1: Monday to Saturday, 06:00-14:00

• Week 2: Monday to Friday, 13:45-21:45

Pay Rate

£20.51 - £21.51 per hour, dependent on experience
