Overview

Job Title: Engineering Lecturer

Location: Leicester

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £25-£40

Full time 37 hours per week (some work remote)

We are seeking an individual who can help take these departments to new levels, delivering high-standard apprenticeship programs and engineering courses.

The colleges across Leicestershire often seek strong, experienced engineering staff to teach at various levels, often level 1-3. We are looking for someone who can impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of engineering apprentices and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach engineering at various levels, often Level 1-3.
• Impart knowledge, skills, and industry experience to engineering apprentices and students.
• Support and assess learners to help them progress in their engineering careers.

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering Qualifications (Degree, Level 3 or other recognised qualifications).
• DBS (and update service).
• Great industry experience and knowledge (crucial).
• CAVA Level 3 Assessor Qualification.
• Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) is beneficial.
• Ideally hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1.
• A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent.
