Job Title: Engineering Apprentice

Location: Lancashire (WN6)

Salary: £14,918.80 - £24,126.96

Hours: Mon - Fri 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Contract: Permanent

Job Role

We are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice for our client based in Wigan. This apprenticeship is designed to provide hands-on training, practical experience, and academic learning to help you build a strong foundation in engineering. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining the technical skills, knowledge, and qualifications needed to progress in your engineering career.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of engineering systems, machinery, or products.
  • Work under the supervision of qualified engineers and technicians to learn industry practices.
  • Support with assembling, installing, and repairing equipment as required.
  • Contribute to problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Complete apprenticeship training requirements (attending college in Southport), including coursework, assessments, and on-the-job learning.
  • Keep accurate records of work, training, and progress.
Qualifications
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science [Grade 4 and above].
  • A strong interest in engineering and a desire to pursue a career in the field.
  • No prior experience required - full training will be provided.
