Working hours: This role is available on a part‑time, job‑share and full‑time basis

Location: North London / Hertfordshire

Salary: Total Package value of over £65,000, including a competitive salary of up to £55,917, depending on experience.

Our Engineer Surveyor roles allow you to develop your mechanical engineering skills further and work for a market‑leading engineering inspection provider.

Zurich Engineering is looking to expand our highly skilled, field‑based, Engineer Surveyor team, and we currently have a vacancy for the North London area for a Lift and Crane Engineer Surveyor.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete industry‑leading bespoke training and swiftly move to carrying out hands‑on statutory inspections.
  • Provide expert opinions on a wide range of equipment, enabling our clients to comply with all relevant legislation and to the exacting standards both we and our clients demand.
  • Report back using a rugged laptop and issue electronic reports to our clients – good IT skills and high levels of literacy are required.
  • Communicate effectively and make sound engineering judgements.
Skills & qualifications required
  • Sound knowledge of your engineering discipline as part of our multi‑disciplined inspection team within your geographic area.
  • Experience as an engineer with a Level 4 qualification (HND / HNC etc.) in a relevant engineering field – minimum Level 3. Training will be offered to bring you up to competency and qualification level.
  • Either a time‑served or Modern Apprenticeship.
  • Hands‑on experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Background in working with lifts and/or crane equipment – hands‑on experience in manufacturing, repair, maintenance, mechanical or motor trade is an advantage.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Willingness and ability to work paid overtime.
