Salary

G8: £47,235 per annum (pro-rata for part time), plus market allowance of up to £3047 per annum (pro-rata for part time) – discretionary and subject to review.

Responsibilities

If you are an experienced Energy Manager who has a track record of managing, reporting and improving the energy performance of a large estate this role could be the perfect fit for you.

  • Technically responsible for Energy Management across the Council's estate, sharing knowledge to support measures that will reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions
  • Day-to-day energy management of all utilities with a focus on cost, consumption and carbon emissions
  • Implementing energy management techniques to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Developing and delivering complex and high-profile carbon reduction projects to support the delivery of the Council's corporate Net Zero target
  • Providing specialist expertise on all aspects of energy and water management with a focus on technical solutions.
  • Undertaking energy surveys, inspections and the development and delivery of actions plans, plant surveys, preparation of design and specifications for tender documents relating to energy works
  • Supporting the Utilities Coordinator to improve data granularity and quality
  • Working collaboratively across the Council, with key stakeholders and partners across Oxford.
