We are looking to recruit a porter/housekeeper for the Endoscopy Unit at St George's Hospital. The role will involve transferring patients and instruments to and from the unit and requires you to be physically fit. You will work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in a changeable environment. You will need to have an understanding of the caring character of the NHS service, which cares for patients and visitors often in pain or distress. You need to have a good understanding of English and a basic knowledge of IT (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the use of databases).
Transfer patients and instruments to and from the Endoscopy Unit; assist with ensuring a clean, safe and efficient environment; work within a multi-disciplinary team; communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
