Location & Work Arrangement
  • This role is full time onsite in either Newcastle or Erskine.
  • The role requires SC moving to DV.
  • You must have resided in the UK for the past 10 years to meet current security clearance requirements.
  • Are you a single British passport holder (i.e., no dual nationality or any type of overseas card held directly or via parents)
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary SME for all End User Compute and Device initiatives, including Windows/Mac laptops, desktops, virtual desktops (VDI), mobile devices, and collaboration tools.
  • Design and maintain modern device management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM).
  • Lead the technical lifecycle for EUC services—evaluation, planning, deployment, testing, support, and retirement.
  • Develop and maintain policies and standards for device security, patching, compliance, and usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Network, Service Desk, and Procurement to ensure cohesive EUC strategies.
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to enhance user experience, security, and cost‑efficiency.
  • Lead or support EUC‑related projects, including OS migrations, hardware refreshes, and application rollouts.
  • Monitor and report on EUC service performance, incidents, and user satisfaction metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Desirable Skills
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in an End User Compute or Device Management role, preferably in a large or complex IT environment.
  • Deep technical knowledge of EUC infrastructure including:
    • Windows 10/11, macOS, Android, iOS
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM), JAMF, Group Policy
  • Active Directory, Azure AD, and Conditional Access
  • VDI technologies (Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft AVD)
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security, encryption, antivirus, and compliance solutions.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.

  • UK national.
  • Happy to go through Security Clearance or already security cleared to SC and willing to go up to DV level clearance if not already.
  • Confident in delivering high level technical representation of issues; including conference calls and handling of technical resolution.
  • Experience collaborating with 3rd party vendors and customers.
  • Passionate about technology.
  • Natural problem solver.
  • Ability to work with an Agile Team, being self‑driven and looking for continuous improvements.
