A leading UK university is looking for an End Point Assessment Developer to support the establishment of assessment plans for engineering degree apprenticeships. This part-time, fixed-term role involves scoping delivery plans, creating training materials, and working closely with faculty stakeholders. The role is ideal for individuals with solid engineering knowledge, proven teaching excellence, and the ability to think strategically while delivering exceptional service. This position is not eligible for sponsorship under UK Visa and Immigration regulations.
The Faculty of Media, Science at Technology at Bournemouth University (BU) works in close partnership with two colleges to deliver engineering degree apprenticeships under the ST0027 – Product design and development engineer (degree) and ST0025 – Manufacturing engineer (degree) standards.
The End Point Assessment Developer will play an important role in establishing BU as an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for these standards. Responsibilities include scoping and developing a detailed plan for the delivery and internal quality assurance of the end‑point assessment plans, creating question banks, developing training materials and producing guidance documents.
To support this strategically important work, we are seeking a part‑time individual for a fixed‑term 6‑month contract. The candidate should have broad engineering subject knowledge, a strong reputation for excellence in learning and teaching, a genuine interest in degree apprenticeship provision, and the confidence and enthusiasm to think strategically and influence at all levels while delivering service excellence.
The post‑holder will work closely with the Faculty’s Associate Dean Education and Student Experience, staff within the School of Computing and Engineering, the Apprenticeship Team, and other key stakeholders within the University and partner colleges.
