You will manage a varied caseload advising on issues such as discrimination, unfair dismissal, and redundancy. The role requires representation of clients in the employment tribunal and must attend council offices at least fortnightly. Suitable candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of PQE levels.
A local authority based in Greater Manchester is seeking an Employment Lawyer for an initial period of three months.
The successful Employment Lawyer will be required to carry a full and varied caseload. You will advise on matters such as disciplinary and grievance issues, discrimination, unfair dismissal, redundancy, equal pay, TUPE, whistleblowing and settlement agreements. Contentious work requires representing clients in the employment tribunal.
You will be required to attend the council offices at least fortnightly. You will either live in the Greater Manchester area or be within commuting distance to attend tribunal.
