THE FIRM

A major UK and international law firm.

THE ROLE

A Knowledge development lawyer (KDL) is sought to join a friendly Employment Team which is well regarded and recognised by the Chambers and Legal 500 directories.

The team acts predominantly for employers but also has a strong senior executive practice.

It has a thriving standalone client base, as well as working extensively with clients and colleagues from other practice areas.

Clients include multinationals, public and private UK and overseas companies, partnerships, funds unincorporated associations and charities including household names.

They cover multiple sectors including finance, professional services, life sciences, technology, transport, luxury goods and the creative arts and the three main areas of employment law practice: HR/legal advisory, litigation (both Tribunal and High Court) and transactions.

ABOUT YOU

An experienced employment lawyer, you will ideally have a knowledge development/professional support background; alternatively, you may be looking for your first move into the knowledge arena.

Your role will be to support the employment team in fulfilling their strategic objectives.

This will include:

  • Maintaining your own and the team's cutting-edge knowledge of law and practice as it relates to employment.
  • Thought leadership including being at the forefront of analysis of the ERA and legislative changes.
  • Knowledge management and know-how delivery systems
  • Research
  • Standard forms/precedents
  • Client-facing and business development activities.
  • Cross-firm collaboration.
