Job description
Overview

Based in the Operations team, the Administrative Officer is responsible for general administration required for the delivery of DRM outputs, specifically the processing of Armed Forces Covenant applications and the monitoring of the AFC inbox. The AO is required to directly support the Assistant Director Operations in addition to carrying out administrative work for all DRM outputs. The AO is required to directly support AD Operations in respect of the CRM database as well as for other tasks.

Principal Areas of Accountability, Tasks and Duties
  1. Processing Armed Forces Covenant applications
    1. Manage the processing of all new covenant applications.
    2. Communicate with DRM employees and employers on AFC signings to resolve any queries.
    3. Liaise with DRM Research Officer for AFC due diligence checks.
    4. Send Armed Forces Covenant confirmations.
    5. Assist in maintaining gov.uk including publishing successful covenants.
    6. Enter covenant details onto the CRM tool (Salesforce).
    7. Contribute to maintaining and cleaning AFC data on the CRM tool (Salesforce).
    8. Update stakeholders monthly on new signings through the use of dashboards and reports.

    1. Be computer literate on appointment and within three months have an understanding of DRM systems (training will be provided):
      1. CRM tool (Salesforce).
    2. Be highly competent, on appointment, in the use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

      1. Strong administrative background with a desire to learn more about the Armed Forces.
    2. Desirable
      1. An understanding of the Armed Forces, particularly knowledge of Reserves and Cadets.

This role may require occasional travel within the UK, including attending evening or weekend events to assist in the delivery of DRM outputs.

The job holder is required to participate in all aspects of training and development, as identified in discussions with DRM Chief of Staff, to make use of all relevant opportunities for training that may improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their appointment.
