We are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting contract opportunity with a well-established and highly reputable public sector organisation based in the East Midlands.

Employee Relations Manager:

Duration: 6-month Temporary Contract

Location: East Midlands/Hybrid – 2/3 days on site

Pay rate: £225 per day via Umbrella (inclusive of holiday pay)

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead a major change management project, overseeing redeployment and streamlining of the organisation’s administrative function
  • Provide expert ER advice, coaching and support on complex cases including organisational change, disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, bullying/harassment and performance management
  • Manage a diverse ER caseload, ensuring fair, timely and legally compliant resolutions
  • Build strong relationships with leaders, HR, staff representatives and stakeholders to embed good ER practice and strengthen management capability
  • Lead, develop and manage ER Advisors to deliver consistent, high-quality service and a positive, values-based culture
  • Use ER data and staff feedback to identify trends, drive interventions and support cultural improvement
  • Design and deliver ER training for managers to promote equality, inclusivity and a Just Culture
  • Deputise for the Senior ER Manager, representing ER and driving policy development and service improvement

Requirements:

  • Public Sector experience
  • Experience with large scale management projects
  • Experience delivering projects to tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
