Overview

Employability Skills Tutor | Location: Field Based - East Midlands | Contract: Full time, Permanent | Salary: [£24,000 - £29,000]. We work with learners from all backgrounds, giving them the confidence, knowledge, and skills they need to succeed in the job market.

We are now looking for a dedicated Employability Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality training that helps learners achieve qualifications, develop workplace skills, and progress into sustainable employment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging teaching, learning, and assessment across Employability, Customer Service, and Functional Skills (Maths & English).
  • Inspire learners to develop practical tools such as CV writing, interview techniques, job search strategies, and workplace behaviours.
  • Tailor learning to individual needs, ensuring all learners achieve their qualifications and feel prepared for employment.
  • Track and support learner progress, identifying barriers and helping individuals overcome challenges.
  • Create a motivating, supportive environment that enables learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications
  • A recognised teaching qualification (Level 3 or above, or working towards).
  • Experience in education, training, or employability delivery.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Confidence in delivering both group sessions and one-to-one support.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, continuous professional development, and high-quality teaching.
  • An understanding of Ofsted requirements and ESFA funding rules is desirable.
