A pioneering clean technology company in Peterborough is seeking an Emissions Technician for a 12-month contract. You will install, service, and maintain emissions measurement equipment while contributing to the development of next-generation zero-emissions technology. Essential skills include practical instrumentation experience, technical apprenticeship with an electro-mechanical bias, and knowledge of Root Cause Analysis. This is a full-time, on-site role offering diverse projects and a supportive team environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Installing, servicing, calibrating, and maintaining emissions measurement equipment
  • Supporting engineers in technical investigations of current and future emissions measurement technologies
  • Conducting diagnostic investigations and applying Root Cause Analysis techniques
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, modifications, and calibrations on equipment and test rigs
  • Providing first-line support for equipment breakdowns

What we're looking for

Essential skills & experience:

  • Practical experience in instrumentation with strong knowledge of gaseous measurement
  • Technical apprenticeship with an electro-mechanical bias, or equivalent hands-on industry experience
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and permanent corrective actions

Desirable experience:

  • Familiarity with emissions analysis equipment (Horiba, Sierra, Cambustion, AVL, etc.)
  • Previous work in engine test cell environments or in an engineering technician role
