Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience within an acute/urgent care setting.
  • Experience of working with minor injuries/minor ailments and more complex conditions.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective nursing care ensuring high standards.
  • Prioritize and assess patients in a triage capacity.
  • Manage the unit as Shift Coordinator, ensuring treatment efficiency.

Skills

Evidence of understanding and insight into current issues in nursing/NHS/unscheduled care
Excellent written and spoken English
Competent in administration of IV additives
ECG interpretation
Venepuncture/Cannulation

Education

Registered Nurse (RN) with current PIN on NMC or HCPC register
Autonomous practice/management of minor injuries course
Minor ailments course
ILS/ALERT or ALS

Tools

Plaster of Paris (POP) casts
IRMER, limb assessment, x-ray interpretation
