A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department to manage the nursing team and deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities include collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with policies. The ideal candidate will possess NMC Registration, a degree or relevant experience, and a strong nursing leadership background. To be a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) working in partnership with the Matron, to manage and provide leadership to the nursing team in the provision of effective clinical and operational leadership across the ED.
To work collaboratively with the Lead Clinician and ED Manager, as well as the wider ED Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), to continuously improve and develop the ED.
The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse takes overall responsibility and is accountable for all delegated nursing care within the clinical environment. They provide nursing leadership and are accountable for patient, public and staff experience, leading, offering expert clinical advice, and managing services to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective, compassionate nursing care. This will be in line with local, Trust‑wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours and is essential they can provide both clinical care to patients.
