A leading children’s hospital in Liverpool is seeking a Reception team member for its busy Emergency Department. The role entails registering patients, managing records, and interacting with a variety of professionals. Candidates should demonstrate good computer skills and the ability to handle pressure. Various shift patterns are available, including nights and weekends.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Alder Hey Emergency Department to join our Reception team. The Emergency Department at Alder Hey is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year and provides accident and emergency care to children from birth to 16 years old to families across Liverpool and beyond. The department looks after over 70,000 patients a year, making this role well suited to someone who thrives on being busy and enjoys working in patient or customer facing roles. The team are often the first point of contact for families when they arrive at Alder Hey and can really make a difference to the families experience when they come.
There are a variety of hours available to suit most circumstances ranging from 10 hours to 30 hours. All successful candidates will be required to work shifts that include days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays, with a rota published at least six weeks in advance. Some shifts will be as the single receptionist, particularly at off-peak times, but always with the clinical Emergency Department team around.
