Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an Administrative Support role within the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient flow, attending handover meetings, and escalating any breaches in waiting times. Qualifications include NVQ level 4 or equivalent in team leading and strong interpersonal skills. This role requires flexibility in work hours and proficiency in IT, especially the Medway clinical system. Salary ranges from £33,094 to £36,195 per annum including HCAS.

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 4 or equivalent qualification in management.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills for effective communication.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Attend ED handover meetings and review issues raised.
  • Monitor patient flow and waiting times in the ED.
  • Ensure breach reasons are escalated and documented accurately.
  • Support ambulance offloads occur within established time frames.
  • Assist in monitoring and raising awareness for clinical documentation.
