A leading manufacturer of energy-saving equipment is seeking a Design and Standards Engineer in Plymouth. In this role, you will design and develop advanced technologies related to soft start motor controllers. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, experience in electronic product development, and familiarity with compliance standards. Qualifications

• Proven track record in electronic product development and working with EU/US compliance standards.
• Ability to write efficient, maintainable embedded software.
• Experience interfacing with peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, USB) and higher-level protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP).

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing products with embedded PIC microcontrollers.
• Supporting product certification processes and ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Contributing across the product development lifecycle, including circuit design and thermal analysis.
