Description

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team is driven by a bold vision to build a team capable of competing at the very front of the grid. To support this ambition, we are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Engineer to join our fast‑paced, innovative Electronics group.

In this role, you will play a vital part in the setup, support, and continuous development of our electronic systems – both on‑car and across the wider factory. From configuring complex instrumentation and logging systems to developing custom electronics and contributing to trackside performance, you will help ensure our team operates with precision and reliability at every race, test, and simulation event.

If you thrive in a high‑pressure environment, bring deep F1 electronic systems expertise, and want to help push the limits of performance in the world’s most technologically advanced sport, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, integrate, and support electronic systems for on‑car applications, simulators (HIL/DIL), rigs, and test facilities.
  • Configure, calibrate, and deploy instrumentation, sensors, ECUs, and data loggers for race, test, and R&D activities.
  • Own and refine processes and procedures for electronic systems installation, configuration, and validation.
  • Perform fault identification and diagnosis on sensors, wiring harnesses, control units, and data systems.
  • Develop on‑board diagnostic software and analyse telemetry data to monitor system performance and resolve issues.
  • Lead sign‑off testing for on‑car systems and assemblies, ensuring reliability and compliance with requirements.
  • Develop custom electronics, controllers, and supporting installations to meet evolving project needs.
  • Provide factory, and where required, trackside support for the operation of electronic systems at race and test events.
  • Work collaboratively with project owners across the business to define and deliver electronic system requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline with strong electronics focus.
  • Excellent knowledge of electronics, installations, instrumentation, sensors, and data logging systems.
  • Experience with motorsport ECUs, data loggers, and interfaces – ideally SECU/Motion Applied.
  • Strong understanding of automotive/motorsport communication systems, wiring, and circuit diagrams.
  • Proficiency with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Zuken, P‑CAN, C++, or comparable electronics/control software.
  • Able to work calmly under pressure, make confident decisions, and deliver results to tight timescales.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and effective at building strong working relationships across teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety and willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
