Overview

Position: Electronics Technician

Location: Wallsend, Newcastle

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 DOE

An established electronics business based in Wallsend is looking to appoint a new electronics technician to join their small but highly skilled team. The company works on bespoke projects with global customers and provides a supportive, hands on environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities
  • Product testing at system, module and sub-assembly level using a wide range of hardware and software tools.
  • Carry out stress, thermal and performance testing, and support verification of embedded firmware and bespoke test software.
  • Support customers remotely and on site, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Documentation and reporting, including maintaining engineering test records and producing test reports; support the wider team with quality control.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bright graduates with a strong interest in electronics through to experienced professionals are welcome.
  • An HNC or higher in electronics or a related field is preferred, although equivalent experience will be considered.
  • A practical mindset, excellent problem solving skills and genuine enthusiasm for electronics.
