Job summary

A local housing association is seeking a fully qualified electrician in the Kings Lynn area. Responsibilities include electrical repairs and domestic testing, requiring qualifications in electrical installation. Ideal candidates will have great IT skills and a background in property maintenance. This temporary role pays between £23 and £25 per hour and requires a driving license for travel. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Clean driving license required for travel throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical repairs in occupied and vacant homes.
  • Perform EICR domestic testing as part of a team.
  • Support planned electrical works and installations as necessary.

Job description

I am looking for a fully qualified electrician to work on behalf of a local housing association based in the Kings Lynn region.

About the role

The majority of the work will be in and around Kings Lynn/Dereham, but travel may be required throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk. The role involves reactive works including fault finding, void and EICR electrical works.

The main focus of the role
  • Take ownership for effective and efficient electrical related repairs in occupied and vacant homes.
  • Work as part of a team carrying out the company in‑house EICR domestic testing programme.
  • Support the Planned Electrical Team from time‑to‑time covering installations and other planned works, e.g. aids and adaptations / kitchens.
The successful candidate will have the following
  • City and Guilds 5357 / City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • City and Guilds 2360 – Part 1 and Part 2 or City and Guilds 2330 Level 2 and Level 3.
  • AM2 (desirable) depending on when NVQ completed.
  • City and Guilds or equivalent 2382 (18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations).
  • Ideally a City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent qualification.
  • A Driving Licence as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required.
  • Experience of working in Property Maintenance.
  • Good IT skills.

Pay: £23 – £25 P/H (Umbrella or CIS)

Hours: 8:00 am – 16:30 pm Monday – Friday. 40 hours per week paid.

This is a temporary position lasting for around 2–3 months.
