Job description
Overview

We are calling on a skilled and proactive Electrician to help power the heart of one of the world\'s most iconic film studios. Working closely with the Senior Electrician and Facilities Administrators, you\'ll ensure our studio spaces are maintained to the highest standards, keeping safety, reliability, and performance front and centre. In this hands-on role, you\'ll be responsible for the maintenance, modification, and installation of electrical systems across the site. You\'ll also bring your versatility to the table by supporting general maintenance tasks, helping ensure the studio operates seamlessly day to day. Responsibilities
  • Monitor H&S compliance, such as correct PPE being worn, as per the H&S at Work Act and WBSL H&S Policy.
  • Ensure that the site\'s electrical and mechanical equipment are looked after in such a way as to maintain continuous operation and legal compliance.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Carry out small installation works and modifications to existing systems.
  • Fault finding, ensuring satisfactory fault rectification.
  • Undertake general maintenance tasks and survey inspections including areas at height.
  • Audit and review of all stock levels and report to the Senior Electrician any required orders.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and best practise guidelines.
  • Provide out of hours electrical cover for all WB clients.
  • Provide assistance and direction to contractors employed within the studio.
  • Onsite working: this role is Onsite, meaning all working hours and days will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to applicable laws, the line manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where essential to business needs with reasonable notice.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.
  • Fully qualified "Approved Electrician" with AM2 and City & Guilds 236-2 or equivalent.
  • BS7671 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations Accreditation.
  • Electricity Supply Regulations Awareness.
  • Electricity at Work Act Awareness.
  • JIB/ECS card.
  • 2391 inspecting and testing would be advantageous.
