Job summary

A leading education recruitment company is seeking a full-time Electrical Tutor/Trainer based in Newmarket. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installations and have experience in delivering training to learners. Responsibilities include teaching, assessing, and engaging students while fostering skill development in a classroom environment. Competitive salary up to £34,000 based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold your own Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installations, or equivalent.
• Must have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer.
• Must hold solid occupational competency as an Electrician.
• Must be IT Literate.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards Electrical qualifications up to Level 2.
• Ensure sessions are motivating and develop learners' skills.
• Monitor student attendance and progress.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners.
• Embed Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery.

Duties include:

• Teach/assess learners working towards Electrical qualifications up to Level 2 within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner s needs.
