Job Description

King & Moffatt Building Services is currently looking to hire an Electrical Tester for our site in Wolverhampton. You will be responsible to survey, test and certify electrical installations to current regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspection and testing in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Guidance Note 3.
• Perform Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection & Testing on electrical installations.
• Complete Electrical Installation Certificates accurately and in a timely manner.
• Diagnose faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of test results and create reports of any issues found.
• Liaise with K&M Compliance Department and Site managers to ensure smooth workflow and compliance on projects.
• Ensure all installation works meet NICEIC and company quality standards.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment. Ensure equipment is in date and calibrated.
• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician with AM2
• City and Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection and Testing
• 18th Edition Wiring Regs Qualification
• CSCS/ECS card required
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge of iPad usage
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong problem‑solving skills and proactive approach.

Additional Information
