Responsibilities
- Fabrication, installation, and documentation of cables, trays, and rack assemblies
- Single-phase, three-phase, high-voltage, and low-voltage electrical circuits
- Preparation, soldering, and termination of wire cable harnesses
- Using blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics
- Troubleshooting electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment and presenting technical solutions to address these issues
- Finding problems using programmable logic controllers (PLC) and communicating with the manufacturing and maintenance team to prevent impact on the equipment
- Programming instrumentation to relay information to a central HMI
- Testing analog inputs and outputs to ensure accurate calibration
- Configuration of equipment using PLC interfaces (GE Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Commissioning of special build equipment, electrically and mechanically
- Maintaining the quality of all the products, performing incoming and outgoing quality control tests, inspections, and repair of all plant and field equipment
- Live working at 400V
- Electrical inspection and testing (EIC, EICR and PAT)
Skills
- City And Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ3 in electrical based units
- City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection
- Passport to safety or equivalent
- Experience in industrial electrical works
