Electrical Systems Engineer

Contract: 12 Months Outside IR35

Rate: 55 - 60 per hour

Start Date - 19th January

Location: Fully Remote

Overview

Our client operates at the cutting edge of aerospace technology, developing innovative electrical systems for next‑generation electric flying vehicles. They are shaping the future of sustainable aviation through advanced engineering solutions and offer a highly collaborative, forward‑thinking environment. Due to continued programme growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support the full systems lifecycle on a long‑term, fully remote contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture, analyse, and manage electrical system requirements
• Perform system verification and qualification activities
• Develop and execute test plans aligned to programme milestones
• Write detailed test procedures and test reports
• Support compliance and certification activities, including DO-160
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to ensure robust system integration
• Provide technical input across design, validation, and delivery phases

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrical Systems Engineer within aerospace or a regulated engineering environment
• Strong background in requirements capture and systems verification
• Experience with qualification and test planning activities
• Hands‑on experience writing test procedures
• Working knowledge of DO-160 environmental testing standards
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to electric or hybrid aerospace platforms
• Systems engineering experience within certification‑driven programmes
