Job summary

A commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to supervise electrical works for various projects including fit-out and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in commercial or industrial settings, possess a valid ECS Gold Card, and exhibit strong communication and leadership skills. A full UK driving licence is required.

Electrical Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team on a freelance basis for a commercial construction project. The project may include fit-out, shell & core, office, retail, or mixed‑use developments.

About the role

This is a site‑based role overseeing electrical works, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical operatives on site, including electricians and subcontractors
• Read, interpret, and ensure compliance with electrical drawings, specifications, and designs
• Carry out regular site inspections and quality control checks
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other trade supervisors
• Enforce health & safety standards, ensuring RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work are in place
• Review test and inspection documentation and support commissioning activities
• Monitor progress against programme, identify risks or delays, and report/escalate where required
• Assist with snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily/weekly reports, timesheets, and material usage

Requirements
