Job summary

Job description

Electrical Site Supervisor / AP - Water

GRS are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor in the Water Industry to cover the Bournemouth area.

Reporting to the M&E Manager / Lead Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical activities on site, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality installation throughout all stages of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise electrical installations across the site.

Ensure all SHE standards are consistently maintained and safe systems of work are followed.

Maintain high-quality workmanship in line with current regulations and project specifications.

Verify new electrical systems and ensure compliance with required standards.

Carry out safe isolation of LV electrical systems.

Monitor supply chain performance and progress against programme.

Review and maintain supplier inspection and test plans, ensuring they remain relevant and accurate.

Attend site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

Support commissioning activities as required.

Take an active role in collaborative planning meetings to help develop and maintain delivery programmes.

Act as the Electrical Appointed Person, enforcing electrical safety rules and ensuring supporting is completed.

Conduct electrical isolations.

Perform regular inspections of temporary and permanent electrical equipment.

Hold one-to-one meetings with supply chain supervisors and ensure Take 5 assessments are carried out.

Assist with compilation of project handover documentation.

Oversee electrical testing in accordance with BS7671, reviewing results against GN3 and manufacturers’ guidance.

Issue Limitation of Access permits.

Maintain a daily site diary of activities and progress.
