Electrical Site Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join our team on a freelance basis for a commercial construction project. Projects may include fit‑out, shell & core, office blocks, retail centres, or mixed‑use developments.

About the role

The Electrical Site Manager will be responsible for managing all electrical works on site, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for managing electrical works on site
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, supervisors, and operatives
• Interpret and manage works in line with drawings, specifications, and design information
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor site activities to meet programme milestones
• Ensure health & safety compliance, including RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Main Contractor, and other trade managers
• Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks of electrical installations
• Review test & inspection paperwork and oversee commissioning activities
• Track progress, identify risks or delays, and implement mitigation measures
• Manage snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, timesheets, and material usage

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Electrical Site Manager or senior supervisory role
• Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial electrical projects
• Valid ECS Gold Card
• SSSTS (SMSTS preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
