Overview

Project Manager - HV & EHV Electrical Projects (Contract)

Location: Manchester / Liverpool / Leeds / Hull / Newcastle

Contract Duration: 12 months

Pay: £500/day

Responsibilities
  • Developing and delivering HV & EHV projects from feasibility through energisation.
  • Acting as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer on projects.
  • Coordinating internal engineering teams, external service providers, and customer interfaces.
  • Administering commercial elements of the projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least five years\' experience managing large and complex HV/EHV substation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical transmission/distribution plant, including AIS/GIS switchgear, Protection & Control, Power Transformers, underground cables, and overhead lines.
  • Experience in optioneering and selecting substation configurations based on functional requirements.
  • Full project lifecycle experience delivering CAPEX and customer connection projects from 33kV to 400kV.
  • Design knowledge of AIS & GIS substations up to 400kV and familiarity with relevant engineering standards.
  • Excellent understanding of H&S and CDM regulations, including the ability to act as Designer and Principal Designer.
