Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, ideally Allen Bradley 5/40 or Siemens Step 5.
  • Willing to work towards completion of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Electrical Maintenance Technician Dayshift/Backshift
Location: Inverness
Contract: Full Time | Permanent

Our client is aa leading manufacturer of sustainable wood-based products. An opening for a Dayshift/Backshift Electrical Maintenance Technician to join theirengineering team based inInverness site.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role is ideal for a skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance.

What Youll Do:

Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across the plant, yard, and offices

Respond swiftly and effectively to electrical breakdowns

Participate in preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis

Contribute to continuous improvement by modifying and updating procedures

Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new and existing equipment

Complete isolation/de-isolation tasks in line with our permit-to-work procedures

Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation

Support other engineering tasks as directed

Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices

What Were Looking For:

Qualified to City & Guilds level or above in a relevant electrical discipline

Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment

Knowledge of PLC systems ideally Allen Bradley 5/40 or Siemens Step 5

Competent with Microsoft Office and general IT skills

Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and prioritisation abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Willing to work towards completion of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Flexibility to cover shift work as required
