Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Pontefract. Salary: £41,200 - £45,400. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.

Role – Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Working within a team of three engineers on shift and reporting into the Engineering Coordinator, you'll be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of industrial machinery.

Core Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs
  • Log all completed work using the CMMS system
  • Electrical troubleshooting across site equipment
  • Mechanical repair work as needed
  • Support breakdowns, plant improvements and reliability activities
Electrical Focus
  • Electrical fault finding on heavy industrial machinery
  • Working with inverters, contactors, relays, overloads, pressure switches, drives
  • Siemens PLC I/O checking
  • Supporting the development of electrical PPM routines
  • Reactive electrical maintenance (electrical PPMs currently being expanded)
Mechanical Exposure
  • Replacing bearings, gearboxes, rollers and mechanical components
  • Working on conveyors, screens, crushers and similar equipment
  • Strip-downs, rebuilds and general mechanical support
What You'll Need
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
  • Comfortable with both electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Motivated, reliable and a strong team player
