A leading horticulture company in Sefton is seeking an experienced engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance. The role emphasizes PPM, addressing technical issues, and driving improvements in engineering performance. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and possess 18th Edition certification. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience within high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven mechanical skills and experience.
  • 18th Edition (Electrical) certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, improvement, and repair of all plant and equipment to ensure maximum production efficiency.
  • Promptly responding to technical issues affecting production.
  • Delivering electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Supporting a safe, efficient, and well-presented facility at all times.
  • Driving continuous improvement in engineering performance across the site.

Overview

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance across the site, ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards. The role will involve the installation, maintenance, improvement and repair of all plant and equipment ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-presented facility. Respond to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Attributes

  • A minimum of 5 years Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience within high volume manufacturing environment
  • Proven mechanical skills and experience
  • 18th Edition (Electrical)
  • Knowledge of PLCs/Control panel diagnostics and schematic drawings (Electrical)
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Highly organised with strong planning & time management ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of people
  • Proven problem solving skills, initiative and enthusiasm with a desire to get things done
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure
