Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our busy manufacturing team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing production machinery — including injection moulding machines, assembly machines, and conveyor systems — to ensure smooth and reliable operation across all shifts.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll perform preventative maintenance (PPM), handle breakdowns, and carry out electrical fault finding and installations within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all plant and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Carry out fault finding on control panels, sensors, motors, and PLC interfaces.
  • Install and maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systems safely and to standard.
  • Support with machine installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure maximum equipment availability.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical standards.
Job Requirements
  • Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) essential.
  • Proven experience working on injection moulding machines, assembly machinery, and conveyors.
  • Strong experience with fault finding and diagnosing electrical issues on industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Familiar with PPM systems and confident working independently on shift.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety, isolation, and safe systems of work.
Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 1:30pm / 1:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm / 12:00pm – 6:00pm
